The application is delivered through a web browser and has been developed for use with Windows PCs and laptops.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Customers use a centrally hosted implementation for Docman 10 where the infrastructure is managed centrally in an approved Data Centre.&nbsp; This model means that there minimal requirement for any software to be held locally and management of the application and infrastructure is handled by Advanced and an approved hosting provider. <\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>This document specifies the <strong>client environments<\/strong> that Docman 10 has been assured against and\nwill cover the following components: <\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:list -->\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><!-- wp:list-item -->\n<li>Operating Systems <\/li>\n<!-- \/wp:list-item -->\n\n<!-- wp:list-item -->\n<li>Hardware Specification <\/li>\n<!-- \/wp:list-item -->\n\n<!-- wp:list-item -->\n<li>Scanners <\/li>\n<!-- \/wp:list-item -->\n\n<!-- wp:list-item -->\n<li>Browsers <\/li>\n<!-- \/wp:list-item --><\/ul>\n<!-- \/wp:list -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>The definition of a warranted environment is; <\/sub><\/h2>\n<!-- \/wp:heading -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>The operating systems specified here relate to clients that\nneed to use the Docman Desktop Services application.&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>The following operating systems are warranted for use with Docman Desktop Services:<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:list -->\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><!-- wp:list-item -->\n<li>Windows 10 (32\/64 bit)<\/li>\n<!-- \/wp:list-item -->\n\n<!-- wp:list-item -->\n<li>Windows 11 (64 bit)*<\/li>\n<!-- \/wp:list-item --><\/ul>\n<!-- \/wp:list -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>*NB \u2013 Docman Desktop Services has now been thoroughly tested and is warranted to run with Windows 11 (64 bit).<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p><strong>Operating Systems \u2013 Limited Support<\/strong><\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:list -->\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><!-- wp:list-item -->\n<li>Windows 7 (32\/64 bit) *<\/li>\n<!-- \/wp:list-item --><\/ul>\n<!-- \/wp:list -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>*NB -&nbsp;not supported by Microsoft and only limited support available via OneAdvanced.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:heading -->\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Hardware Specification&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/h2>\n<!-- \/wp:heading -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>This relates to clients that need to use the Docman Desktop\nServices application.&nbsp; The machine must\nhave at least 160MB capacity to store the files.&nbsp; We recommend the following hardware\nspecification: <\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:list -->\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><!-- wp:list-item -->\n<li>2Ghz Processor <\/li>\n<!-- \/wp:list-item -->\n\n<!-- wp:list-item -->\n<li>1GB RAM <\/li>\n<!-- \/wp:list-item --><\/ul>\n<!-- \/wp:list -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p><em><strong>We are aware of an issue that limits how Docman 10 application displays when vertical monitors are used, as such we recommend only using Horizontal monitors.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:heading -->\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Scanners&nbsp; <\/h2>\n<!-- \/wp:heading -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Scanners need to be twain compatible, any deviation from\nthis requirement has the potential to cause an issue. <\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:heading -->\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Browsers <\/h2>\n<!-- \/wp:heading -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>The following browsers are warranted for use with Docman 10 web application:  <\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:list -->\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><!-- wp:list-item -->\n<li>Chrome<\/li>\n<!-- \/wp:list-item -->\n\n<!-- wp:list-item -->\n<li>Microsoft Edge<\/li>\n<!-- \/wp:list-item --><\/ul>\n<!-- \/wp:list -->\n\n<!-- wp:heading -->\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">TLS Protocol <\/h2>\n<!-- \/wp:heading -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>To utilise Docman web services users must use web browsers\nwhich support version 1.2 or higher of the TLS protocol. <\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:heading -->\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Network and Bandwidth requirements <\/h2>\n<!-- \/wp:heading -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>The Docman 10 product has been tested in a controlled environment against a variety of bandwidth connections.&nbsp; Based upon this controlled testing we can demonstrate that the Docman 10 product works with a HSCN network link that has minimum speeds of 0.5Mbps Upload and 2Mbps Download.&nbsp; Our recommendation however would be to have a HSCN network link that has speeds of 2Mbps Upload and 5Mbs download.&nbsp; The IP addresses for the service(s) are resolved to the active IP address via DNS. Installation of the application requires\nadministrator privileges on the machine during the initial installation\nprocess.&nbsp; Subsequent updates will not\nrequire administrator privileges as these are handled by a service that is\ninstalled during the initial installation process.&nbsp;
