Adding the Electronic Collections Management role to a user

Role requirements to add the ECM role:

Docman roles:

Docman System Administrator

System Support Access Role

If you use an NHS mail account to receive electronic documents, the password will expire every 90 days. When this happens, a task is generated in Docman 10 to allow the password to be reset. The Electronic Collections Management role is required to enable a user to do this, and MUST be assigned to at least one user. This will have been done by your Docman trainer on your go live.

In case of annual leave or sick leave etc, you may want to add this role to other members of staff in your absence.

  1. To add this role, edit the user, and choose the Electronic Collections Management role from the picking list:

  1. Click Add role, and ensure it is listed in the assigned roles list for this user

  1. Select Update to complete.

There is no restriction on how many users can have this role.
