Docman Rejection Codes

You will most likely be receiving electronic documents into your Batch Manager (Docman 7) or Capture & Filing (Docman 10) screen by now. These can come from a variety of Private and NHS Providers who are all committed to supporting the Transfer of Care initiative to making the transfer of information between Primary and Secondary Care standardised and simple, and not forgetting to help achieve the NHS Paperless 2020 target.

With this in mind, you as GP Practices have the ability to use Docman to reject back documents electronically that are not intended for you, for one of the following 6 common reasons:

Code – Description

REJ01 – Patient is no longer registered at this practice.

REJ02 – Patient never registered at this practice

REJ03 – Incomplete document

REJ04 – Document cannot be viewed

REJ05 – Duplicate document already received

REJ06 – Custom reason

REJ07 – Deceased/End of Life

REJ08 – Invalid Document

Please note: The custom rejection (REJ06) should be only used when the reason does not fit one of the other pre-defined reasons (REJ01-REJ05). Please do not use this rejection reason unless specifically advised to.
